Josh

Senior Programmer

A tools programmer with extensive start-up experience, Josh is a proud member of the Tribe.

Josh is no stranger to working at start-ups. He’s been on the ground floor of several in the past, and has been the lead developer or manager of more than two dozen projects that have targeted large-scale, enterprise-level customers. As a tools programmer, Josh enjoys making everyone’s job a little bit easier: if the designers and artists have the tools they need to produce more content, he considers it a good day.

Josh has worked on a small army of titles, including such high-falutin’ properties as Casino Royale, God of War: Betrayal, Ratchet and Clank, and Spider-Man 3. And at mobile game developer Javaground, Josh wrote tools used to develop over a dozen games.

Q: What was your first computer?
A: A Wang 8086 (yes, it is an actual computer…). And yes, I had a t-shirt that said “I’d rather be playing with my Wang.”

Q: What got you started in MMOs?
A: Easy: the promise of late nights with beer and friends.

Q: What was your first video game rig?
Nintendo Entertainment System. 8-bit FTW!

Q: Okay, how about your most embarrassing drunk moment?
Singing “Baby Got Back” at a karaoke bar in Big Bear with some friends. Dance included.
